Holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO)
Lukos observes 10 paid Federal Holidays. In addition, Lukos employees receive 15 days of PTO per year, accrued at 2.3 hours per week. PTO may be used for sick leave, vacation, or personal time.
Lukos provides a 401(k) retirement plan through BB&T. Employees may elect to make tax-deferred and/or Roth contributions from their salary up to the IRS annual limit. Lukos matches contributions up to 3% of salary, and half of contributions from 3% to 5% of salary, for a maximum match of 4% of salary on 5% employee contributions. All contributions are 100% vested immediately.
Lukos provides medical, dental, and vision coverage through United Health Care (UHC), the number one provider network in the region. Employees who are already covered by another medical plan may receive a $1300 annual salary credit in lieu of medical coverage. Lukos offers 3 plan choices for medical insurance. Each plan offers different deductibles, co-pays, and coverage limits, and each plan has a different premium cost. Lukos pays 50% of premium cost, with the employee paying the remaining premium cost.
Lukos provides Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance for all employees to replace lost wages due to disability, injury, or illness. Lukos provides a $50,000 term life insurance policy for each employee. Lukos provides Workers Compensation Insurance in accordance with state law for all employees, to protect against wage loss due to work-related injury or disability. Lukos provides these coverages at no additional cost to the employee.
